Ecclesiastes 3:11
“He has made everything beautiful in its time.”
Proverbs 3:5–6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
At some point in her life, every woman walks through a season of hopeful anticipation—quietly believing that one day, she will meet her “prince charming.”
He is often imagined as someone who is not only handsome, but kind, godly, family-oriented, purposeful, and deeply loving.
As I write this, I cannot help but look back on my own journey—from my teenage years into my mid-twenties.
It was a season shaped by books like Choosing God’s Best, I Kissed Dating Goodbye, and countless love stories shared by other couples.
All of these stirred in me a quiet hope: Maybe one day, my story will unfold too.
When people would ask about my love life, my answer was simple:
“I love God and God alone.”
And while that was true, I did not completely close my heart. I explored dating from time to time—even blind dates.
Years passed.
My twenties turned into my thirties, and then into my forties. Still, my love story had yet to begin.
But somewhere along the way, something deeper happened—I surrendered.
I learned to embrace my singleness not as lack, but as a gift.
I found joy, purpose, and contentment beyond romance.
Yet deep in my heart, I had a quiet conversation with God.
I asked Him plainly if I would ever marry—and I even gave Him my timeline.
And then… I let it go.
Because trusting God means releasing control.
It means choosing peace over worry.
It means believing that His timing is not only perfect—but beautiful.
Then came 2023.
Right as I turned 45, I met Dennis.
He was beyond anything I had imagined—kind, godly, and gentle.
More than that, he was God’s answer to a surrendered prayer.
Everything changed.
Loving Dennis has become one of the most beautiful gifts of my life.
To love and be loved—there are truly no words.
I know that God orchestrated our meeting in His perfect time.
A Covenant Fulfilled
Today, we stand on the other side of waiting—not because the journey is over, but because a new one has begun.
We are now married.
A covenant before God—to love, to serve, and to walk with Christ at the center.
Looking back, every season now makes sense.
God was not withholding—He was preparing.
He was writing something far more beautiful than I could have imagined.
He has made everything beautiful in His time.
And now, hand in hand, we step forward—anchored in love, grounded in faith, and trusting the Author of our story.
